It's a sound game, no bugs or anything wrong with it... it's just plain too simple and boring. What motivation is there to keep hitting the ball back? Might have worked in the era of pong.

I want this on a DS. And then I want a DS. Seriously, this rocks. Still got some bugs to work out, but it's still awesome to play. The challenges and single match modes make for good replay value, too. Controls should have been clearer though, I had to figure out by trial and error that backspace paused the game. Silver and Blaze should be more straightforward to unlock aswell, I had to find out from reviews here that to unlock Blaze you needed to complete 10 minute KO with Silver. I also found a few quite noticeable bugs and problems:
- Flying characters are quite unbalanced, they rack up damage very easily and have few effective attacks
- Some of the front end menu and controls are quite confusing if you're not used to them
- Some of the special attacks don't really do much (eg. Sonic's, Rouge's), charging ones have no indication of when they're ready
- Some random levels have no powerups in them
- Characters sometimes fall through the floor of the arena, especially in Hidden Palace
- In the hidden palace stage of the adventure, you can get up to 150% damage in one go for some unknown reason
- Horizontal control occasionally locks up in mid-air, usually with Super Sonic
- Score isn't saved for 10 minute KO (the record in the game data section always says 0)
- Espio and Mighty only have aerial attack each with nothing significant to compensate for it
- You haven't released the main version yet D<
Still. This game is awesome. I want it's babies.

Your only problem is that the whole thing looks sidescrolling. A few more angles maybe? Just a suggestion. Good audio work though! 5'd.

I have to say, I haven't heard something this good out of punk rock for ages. I want you on my Kerrang. NOW!
Author's Response:
We will Klang for your Kerrang! Thank you for the generous scoring.
You can also head on over to www.myspace.com/astroninary for more free tunes! The lyrics of the song are on one of the comments below, right above that rooted stem and next to our mother's pots.
More songs to be cradled here on Newgrounds next week!
YOU ROCK!
Thanks for the love!

Wow. Well deserving of the top spot. The solo around 4 minutes is awesome, as well as the end! If you actually played this on piano, you are a God. If you sequenced this, well, you've got a lot of patience for sequecners. Although I don't know what you're complaining about with bitrate, it all gets converted to 128kbps for viewing. 128kbps mp3 is the people's format, any more than that is getting into music snob territory.

Wtf? This is unlistenable. 3 minutes of "BOOM BOOM BO-BO-BO-BOOM"... really need something better for a song.
Author's Response:
So sry but I just couldn't find the exact category for this. Cause the "Industrial" that I know normally is an electronic type of Music that is very agressive and monotone...
Most people here seem to think different...
As I said sry 4 this...
